- Why surveys are carried out and the types of report which are produced
- The survey process -preparation, visit and follow-up
- Assessment features -property, business interruption, security, liability and motor fleet
- Environmental issues, construction, process and materials, services and maintenance, security, health and safety, COSHH and relevant legislation
- Risk management -the process, the options and the difference between risk requirements and recommendations
- Risk improvements including alarms, sprinklers and security measures
- How the underwriter uses the survey to assess the risk, calculate potential exposure (EML/MPL) and apply terms
- Disaster recovery planning -what it is, why it’s done and how should it be done for maximum benefit
- Interpretation of survey reports.
